An inmate was killed at a Southern California jail on Sunday in what state corrections officers are investigating as a murder, in keeping with an area information report.
Two different inmates allegedly attacked Enrique Saucedo, 29, with do-it-yourself weapons within the recreation yard of Centinela State Jail, which is positioned about 100 miles east of San Diego in Imperial County, in keeping with a report by KTLA. Saucedo was taken to an area hospital, the place he finally died.
The alleged attackers – David Veloz and Rigoberto Estrada – are at present serving sentences for homicide and had been positioned in restricted housing after the assault. Saucedo was serving a 14-year jail sentence for distributing weapons and managed substances, KTLA reported.
The Imperial County coroner has not but decided Saucedo’s official explanation for dying. No inmates or jail employees had been harmed.
The investigation into the assault is ongoing.
